“Isla Culebra” is an island-municipality of Puerto Rico. Being located approximately 17 miles east of the island, this nature-filled land is a popular weekend tourist destination for mainly puerto ricans, residents of Vieques and every guest who’s visiting Puerto Rico. Culebra can be visited through air flights from San Juan or by ferry in the Fajardo area. Both of these transportations are effective and have various costs and schedules. The most economic way would be traveling by car to Fajardo from San Juan (approximately a half and a hour drive, with heavy traffic), and getting a 45 minute round trip to Culebra by ferry for $4.50.

Once you get to Culebra, you won’t be disappointed. The coast is marked by cliffs, mangrove forests and sandy coral beaches like Flamenco Beach, one of the most beautiful and recognized in the world, Culebrita, and Melena. It’s an amazing vacation escape for everyone to enjoy.
