Flamenco Beach is the most internationally renowned beach of Puerto Rico, located in the offshore Island of Culebra. It is known for its shallow turquoise waters, white sand, swimming areas, and diving sites. It stretches for a mile around a sheltered, horseshoe-shaped bay. Flamenco is the top ranked beach in Puerto Rico and one of the top beaches in the world (ranked as the 8th best beach in the world with a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award, 2018). The beach includes lifeguard towers, picnic tables and food and beverage kiosks. Reaching the beach is a short ride from the town of Dewey (where the ferry boat arrives). You can get a special permit for camping on the site.

Travel to Culebra Island
Getting to Culebra is convenient and affordable (no passport required for U.S. citizens). From San Juan, you have a few options for flights to Culebra or you may also take the ferry from Ceiba located at the Marina Dr, Roosevelt Roads.

The following rates are also available at the port’s ticket office. We recommend you to buy your tickets in advance to secure your place via porferry.com, this service is provided by Maritime Transportation Authority.

  • Infants from 0 – 2 years old: Free
  • Kids from 3 – 11 years old: $1.00
  • Adults from 12 – 59 years olds: $2.00
  • Adults from 60 – 74 years old: $1.00
  • Seniors 75 + years old: Free

The purchase through the website have a service fee of $3.00 per ticket plus IVU.
To buy tickets for Infants and Seniors (75 + years old) you must go to the ticket office of the ports and present identification with photo.
