The Piñones area stretches from the tip of Isla Verde Beach, behind the Isla Verde Airport and all the way to the town of Loiza. It is known by locals and visitors alike or its restaurants and “chinchoros” where you will find your fixings of fritters, fresh fish, fresh seafood and other delicacies. It is also a great spot for tropical drinks and fresh coconut water. The two way road leads to secluded and unspoiled beaches and forests with trails for walking and biking. Bring your food and towels and do not expect to find public bathrooms or life guards. You will also find small markets and shops with local arts and crafts. The community reflects the richness of the islands afro-puertorrican heritage, specially in the form of music, food and crafts.
