Every year, Orocovis celebrates a patron saint festival. The festivities include dances, food, parades and religious processions.

Festival de la Longaniza – September

This activity has become a family recreational tradition to help local & Orocoveñas communities. During the event, they have live music, gastronomy, handicrafts, agricultural market, health clinics, exotic birds, animals, ponies and many surprises. The menu will include “longapurrias”, rice with “longaniza”, fritters, sancocho and “longalaos”.

Festival Nacional del Pastel Puertorriqueño – November

This family activity have live music, handicrafts, activities for children, clowns, but above all, kiosks in honor of this typical dish. In Puerto Rico, “pasteles” are a cherished culinary recipe, especially around Christmas-time. The “masa” consists of typically grated green banana, green plantain, eddoe (yautía), potato, and tropical pumpkins, known as calabazas.
