Art Museum of Bayamón (MAB) (founded as Museum of Art , 1991 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico ) is dedicated to Puerto Rican art from the 20th century to the present. At present it stands out for hosting masterpieces of the history of art in Puerto Rico. It was built in 1990 as part of the facilities of the Luis A. Ferré Science Park in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. It opened for the first time to the public in 1991 as a space to present reproductions of international artists donated by Mrs. Amelia Agustini. In 2003, under the administration of Mayor Ramón Luis Rivera Cruz , the MAB becomes a museum with the vision of developing a permanent collection and exhibiting original works by Puerto Rican artists. In 2012, the museum celebrated its reopening after a remodeling in order to offer the public new and modern facilities for the appreciation of art.
It is recognized by an active program of exhibitions and cultural and educational activities aimed at the entire community.
