Cardona Cay, Ponce

Ponce, Puerto Rico

Isla Cardona, Ponce

Enjoy one of the prettiest beaches in Puerto Rico!  In this tiny uninhabited cay located at the entrance of the Bay of Ponce you will find crystal clear blue waters, very good snorkeling, trails to explore around, greats views of the City of Ponce and an historic lighthouse which is less than three minute walk from the beach area.

A ten minutes boat ride from Paseo Tablado La Guancha in Ponce will take you this breathtaking and beautiful key.

It is administered by the Puerto Rico Department of Natural Resources but it doesn´t offer any kind of facilities nor a pier. Is the kind of cay that once you get there you walk through the sea water to get to the shore.

Since there are no facilities at all, do not forget to take with you towels, suntan lotion, bug repellent, sun hat, sunglasses, water shoes, sturdy sole shoes for hiking, beach umbrella, beach chairs, waterproof phone case, plastic bags, underwater camara, change of clothes, first aid kit, motion sickness medication, life jackets, children beach toys, floating water mat, snorkeling gear, food and lots of water!
