The Pelicano Beach is on Caja de Muertos island, in the city of Ponce. Is a  nature reserve, with beautiful beaches, hiking trails, a lighthouse and a cave.  There’s no restaurant or stores on the island sincethis beach is part of the Reserva Natural Isla Caja de Muertos, a natural reserve since 1980, because of its native turtle traffic. The only way to get to the island is by taking the islandventure catamaran that can be reached from La Guancha Boardwalk sector of Ponce Playa.
