One of the most beautiful squares of Puerto Rico. In its center it is adorned by a beautiful fountain that was brought from France. This was donated in 1918 by the then Mayor of Guayama, Don Genaro Cautiño Insúa (1914-1920). It has 16 gardens among which there are some trees known as Laurels of India that were planted approximately for the year 1895. The square maintains three (3) monuments and one (1) bust. The monuments are: guayameses soldiers fallen in the I and II World War (1952), those in Korea fell for Freedom and Democracy, fallen soldiers on 4 Ohio (1923) and the bust of Luis Palés Matos.
